At PCDA, we believe that relationships lie at the heart of a young person’s development—the relationship with oneself, the relationships among families, and the relationships between behaviors and experiences.

That’s why we emphasize and amplify those relationships and connections every day for young people with developmental differences, Autism, and other medical or genetic disorders that create everyday challenges.

The proven services of PCDA are essential to the lives of our clients and their families as they navigate a world that is not always understanding or inclusive of them.

Our Services

Floortime

Play-based activities help young people interact with those most important to them and promote shared attention, interaction, social problem-solving, creative thinking, and connecting ideas with their trusted caregivers.

Individual

Skilled individual therapeutic services like occupational therapy, speech language pathology, music therapy, and feeding and nutrition services give families the tools to support their specific goal areas.

Group

When young people engage with each other and discover their common interests, they learn about friendship, share ideas, and solve problems together as part of their social-emotional development. Group services include Social Skills group, Teen Club, and Young Adults.

“Once you are staff at PCDA, you’re drawn in by the clients and families. You stay for the joy.”

— Jennifer Avendano, Programs Department Head
